Phillip Goodrich and George Gay obtained store cards from an unidentified token maker who prepared two custom dies with only subtle design differences.  These two obverse dies were combined with four stock reverse dies for token production.  Three token varieties were struck for circulation on brass planchets.  This is the most common of the three circulation strikes and it is scarce.  This is a premium quality specimen that was certified many years ago when grading standards were much more conservative than today's grading standards.
