    Civil War Store Card for John Engel, Merchant Tailor in Elizabeth Port, New Jersey
    Fuld  NJ220A-3a (copper)     R-3     Choice UNC          Single Merchant Town
    Mr. Engel obtained store card tokens from New York City token maker William Bridgens.  A single obverse die was combined with four stock reverse dies for token production.  Three of four token varieties were struck on copper planchets and used in commerce.  Today, these three varieties vary from somewhat uncommon to extremely scarce.
