Description:
This is an original inboard engine transmission gearbox for various (possibly Chris Craft) boat and marine applications. This transmission is in good structural condition with no cracks or breaks the the gearbox. It appears to be all original with no modifications or repairs. There are no casting numbers or markings anywhere on the gearbox, besides something cast into the mounting flange, as seen in the final picture.  I acquired this and other vintage parts from the estate of a wood boat restorer, primarily Chris Craft models. This transmission is untested and should be considered for restoration or rebuild purposes. I do not have any history on this transmission or what it was originally used in. It does have a unique shaped mounting flange so it should be easily identified by vintage marine application restorers.
